About Page

I'm Mixocat. Idk if you're looking for info about me or the site. Well in short, I'm queer and I'm getting really tired of not being able to find the media and representation I want. It's awesome that more and more shows, movies, books, and video games are starting to feature queer people, but I'm honestly not impressed by most of it. Here's a video by verilybitchie on youtube that does a really great job tackling the idea that a lot of the representation we're getting is just a cash grab. It's easy for it to be edited out or completely missed by people who aren't looking for it.

I am very new to HTML and coding in general if that isn't already abundantly clear. I'm planning to keep updating this website and improve it visually but for now this is what it is. I also know my reviews aren't great and I think this will be good exercise for my writing skills as well. Hopefully in the future I have the ability to make different pages for books, movies, tv shows, video games and more but I don't want to just add all the old things I've watched or read, I'd like to add them as I go through them. So this will be fairly real time with my reviews fresh after enjoying the media itself. In future updates I'd also like to add some sort of comments section or survey for what I should review next. I know so many things come out now that it'll be hard to keep up but I really do want to review as much WLW content as I can and have a huge list that people can reference and figure out what is and isn't worth their time.

I also think it's important to note that my definition of WLW is pretty much anyone who may identify with that tag. Inclusivity rules.
